Meet Genesis

Genesis first learned about the Hospitality Training Academy when her mother, Cristina—a former Farmer John worker—encouraged her to join the Line Cook Registered Apprenticeship program. They graduated together, and today, Genesis is thriving as a Culinary Specialist at USC.

Cesar learned about the Hospitality Training Academy while he was a rideshare driver. A passenger told him about the program. After graduating, he started his career at Areas at LAX.

Meet Forest

Forest found out about the Hospitality Training Academy from Trans Wellness Center. He entered the Line Cook Registered Apprenticeship program because he wanted to start his career as a cook in a union hotel. After graduating, his dream came true: he got a job as a line cook at the Lowes Hollywood.

Gilbert learned about the Hospitality Training Academy when Chef Mitchell visited his father’s restaurant. After graduating from the Line Cook Registered Apprenticeship, he started his career as a cook at Areas at LAX.

Meet Cesia

Cesia first learned about the Hospitality Training Academy from her parenting facilitator, who recognized it as a perfect fit for her. She enrolled in the Line Cook Registered Apprenticeship program, and after graduation, Cesia was hired by Flying Foods as a line cook.
