HTA Executive Director Adine Forman Honored by the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy
On May 6, HTA Executive Director Adine Forman was honored by the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE) at their annual Women for a New Los Angeles luncheon. Adine was recognized for her deep commitment to advancing economic justice, elevating working conditions in the hospitality sector, and designing national best practices in workforce development across her 30-year career. She has been a driving force in creating pathways to economic mobility and opportunity for marginalized and vulnerable communities, and exemplifies the luncheon theme “Architects for Change.”
Surrounded by friends, family, staff, colleagues and partners, Adine was presented with her award by Assembly member Lisa Calderon and HTA Board Chair and UNITE HERE Local 11 Co-President Susan Minato. They were accompanied by UNITE HERE Local 11 Co-Presidents Kurt Peterson and Ada Briceno; UNITE HERE Local 1 (Chicago) President Karen Kent; and UNITE HERE Local 100 (New York City) President Jose Maldonado.
